Public health practitioners, administrators and partners will play increasingly important roles in improving and protecting the health of the public under the Affordable Care Act. These experts will convene in Chicago in June for APHA's Midyear Meeting "Implementing Health Reform: A Public Health Approach" to discuss next steps and share best practices in reforming our nation’s health system.

The Midyear Meeting builds off of APHA's Summit on Health Reform, which took place in Denver last November, and offers an opportunity to gather the latest on-the-ground intelligence from community and state officials across the country, and learn what’s coming around the corner from national leaders.

What are the implications for the public health work force? What infrastructure and IT challenges does the new law raise? How can we best achieve prevention and wellness? This meeting will address these and many other questions that are critical to improving health outcomes in all communities.
