Washington, D.C., August 8, 2005 - Washington, D.C., August 8, 2005 – Press registration for the American Public Health Association’s 133rd Annual Meeting & Exposition at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La., Nov. 5-9, is now open.
The 2005 APHA Annual Meeting & Exposition is themed “Evidence-Based Policy and Practice” and will explore the processes of systematically finding, appraising and using scientific research as the basis for developing sound practices. U.S. Sen. John Kerry will be the keynote speaker for the conference’s opening general session on Sunday, Nov. 6.
About 13,000 experts will attend to share the latest public health research and practice. The Meeting will include hundreds of sessions on significant issues in public health such as tobacco, health disparities, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health and chronic disease control and prevention.
All APHA Annual Meeting scientific sessions are listed online and are fully searchable.
