A key event in the International Health Section’s calendar is the APHA Annual Meeting.
Activities Include

Scientific program – about 125 oral presentations and 75 poster sessions on global health issues

Networking in the hallways, at the Section luncheon, and Social Hour and Awards Ceremony

Contributing to the development of APHA’s policy resolutions
The Section is working to add value to APHA membership by enriching its activities between Annual Meetings, by:

Advocacy – mobilizing members to contact legislators and write letters and articles for newspapers

Public education – to increase appreciation of the importance of global health to U.S. health

Policy development – writing new policy resolutions for APHA

Mid-year meeting – during Global Health Council annual conference
